Dear Diary,
Back again with another goody from fashion bunker. Today’s post is featuring the bottom half of my co-ord set… The culottes (see the matching top here). Culottes are a very risky piece of clothing. Depending on your body type, they can either be a hit or a miss. Being that I already have legs that never end, the hem of the pant don’t hit me at an awkward length. I guess I can count that as one of the advantages of being tall.

I am a lover of all things cropped. Which is why I couldn’t get enough of this voluminous top from Fashion Bunker. I purchased this top as a co-ord set (here) for my birthday, and the great thing about co-ords is you don’t just have to wear them as a set all the time. You also have the option of mixing and matching each piece with other articles of clothing.

It’s still sunny on my side of town, and I am certainly making it count in different shades of mint! I know once the transition to cold wind takes place, it’s not going to be pretty. I’m a summer baby, I don’t do well in chilly weather O_o.

It was very inspiring listening to her speak about coming from a small town in Chicago to having her own brand of fine jewelry. It was pretty awesome being at the LACMA for Kanye West and Oscar-winning director Steve McQueen’s short film. The duration of the film was 9 minutes, and shot in one take at a historic dockyard outside London. Despite my inability to share some images from the installation with you all, per Mr. West’s strict regulations of keeping the video exclusive to the museum, I want to compensate by leaving you with a quote from the director elaborating on the concept of the film ; “The video for Kanye West ‘s song All Day/I Feel Like That plays upon the relationship between the camera and the subject. As in a meeting between the bull and the matador, it remains unclear who chases whom within the arena. The roles of pursuer and pursued are at times inverted. Shot in a single 9 minute take with natural lighting and minimal context, McQueen accentuates the immediacy and intensity of the performer up close. Every movement of West is seen; every breath felt. It becomes apparent how the song itself fuels West’s performance, from the tornado in “All Day” to the vulnerability of I Feel Like That”

We had a nice one in the Los Angeles area yesterday. The weather was sunny with a breeze, which made it easy for me to throw on this v neck sweater. My job consumes my life throughout the week, and that is why I use my free time to catch up on all errands. Comfort is very important to me when I am on-the-go, so I paired my sweater with a high waist denim pant and loafers. I know, I know, they are the same pants from my last post. I couldn’t help it, they are easy to run around in. To add some character, I went with a mint clutch and oversize clear frames. Let’s not forget the red lip for drama.
