The moment is finally here, and I chose… drum roll please.. The PRAY black cap created by Kwame Adjaye as my piece for the challenge. People usually associate the idea of caps with urban fashion, I beg to differ. The minimal aesthetic of the cap allows you to expand your wardrobe choices. All black with a white 3D embroidery, pretty genius if you ask me.

Doing the same old thing can me boring, so I came up with a way to challenge myself. Allow me to present to you, something fresh and new, the 7 Days Of . I am challenging myself to styling one piece, seven different ways, for seven days. Think I can pull it off? My friend mentioned that my outfit reminded her of someone attending a music festival, afterparty haha! We will just go with it, and say my wardrobe was inspired by that theme. The neon piece is actually a swimsuit coverup I got from h&m earlier in the summer. Best purchase ever!

When all fails in your closet, opt for drapery. Clothes that drape are always quicker to wear, and can be styled in different ways. I half-tucked the top to make it look like a single piece.

While others are transitioning into fall, we in the Los Angeles area are still experiencing the scorching heat, hence the mini palm tree skirt. Word of advise, try not to do anything that requires you to bend.
My choice of shoes along with the short hemline of my skirt can come across inappropriate, when it isn’t paired with the right shirt. I decided to wear a loose pocket tee to keep it more casual,and accessorized with a choker. Overall, I would call this a fun look, how would you describe it?

Experimenting with the achromatic scheme is not commonly seen in my wardrobe. However, I woke up feeling both minimal and masculine for work. I instantly thought..All black top and bottom, a white accent, and reflectors.
Speaking of reflectors, how crazy are these Del Toro slippers? They are handmade, and extremely comfortable. Showstoppers of my entire look. It almost seemed as if I had just just stepped out of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” video from the 80s , except in this case my shoes lit up, rather than the square tiles on the ground. Magic maybe? Did I mention that, I also cringe when people step on them? I am highly convinced they are out to sabotage my glow, so I try to stand as far away as I can from anyone who intends to get too close.

Behold… The Mandals (as the fashion world likes to call them). Initially purchased for an early summer getaway to celebrate my sister’s birthday in Jamaica…Yeahh…Never wore them. I spent all trip in my adidas slides and menorquinas instead. Oh, and walking around the resort barefoot, haha. Back to these fine babies, wearing masculine accessories and clothing , are second nature to me. I mean, women have more options, but men are the most comfortable.

I finally got to wear my Zebra sandals by Loza Maleombho, yes! I purchased them last year for 60 % off! In one size bigger than my actual shoe size, haha. If there is a bargain, you make do with what is available. They are handmade in Cote d’Ivoire, West Africa, with a roman influence. Bloomingdale’s Summer Fashion Smash at the Westfield’s Century City mall was a success. It was showcasing the latest summer trends in women’s fashion. Featuring designers like Theory, Clover Canyon, Diane von Furstenberg , and they were all available for purchase! Lovely presentation, Jennifer Chan , and Jennifer Grace also did a great job hosting.
