Avenue Montaigne

Dear Diary,

Being an avid Sex and the City watcher, I had to make my way to the Hotel Plaza Athenee in Paris. I 1st saw this hotel from season 6 of the series, and let me just tell you  that my photos do no justice to how  GORRRGEOUS the hotel is from the outside as well as the hallways in the inside.  The concierge staff were very friendly about taking pictures, but I did not want to overstep my boundaries lol. I certainly need to spend a weekend there in the near future.

H&M for VERSACE tee (also worn here) , LUCCA COUTURE shorts, SABRE sunglasses, H&M brogues.

Here is the episode featuring the Hotel Plaza Athenee.

Snacking at the Champs

Dear Diary,

On day 5 of my Parisian adventure, I spent all day at the Champs Elysees, mostly satisfying my sweet tooth. First stop…LADUREE! A luxury pastry shop, and the inventor of the double-decker macarons.

The famous macarons inside Laduree.
Second stop, Bar Unisex. A stylish bar for food and cocktails. But I of course..
Had an oreo milkshake! Lol
It was beyond cute on the inside, with the pink accents.

WHAT I WORE: ZARA shirt and pants,URBAN OUTFITTERS satchel, H&M brogues,
 F21 earrings.

Note to self: Always have your fancy shoes packed

Dear Diary,

Why did I have to be so late to fashion night out?? I had a blast and met some amazing people, but I was so bummed to miss the early action. The sightseeing and museums are to be blamed for consuming all my time.  I knew I should have had my event shoes packed up, and ready to go in my purse before leaving the house. It’s always a drag when you have to go back and change. I was only able to gather very little from the night’s festivities. It got really dark, so I couldn’t get any awesome shots with my camera :-(.

In other news, how awesome is it that a fashion night out invitation was placed in my September issue of Vogue Paris?

KENZO

Inside Michael Kors, the DJ was dressed to impress and killing it!

What I Wore: FNO

Dear Diary,

It was my 1st Fashion Night Out in Paris, and I thought to myself… why not go BOLD in fashion central? So I did a mint peplum, a scarf print shirt with pops of red to match my fiery red hair! I mean the 2 Parisian men in the photo below seem to love the ensemble no? Lol

JIL PINEDA bow tie, ZARA shirt, skirt, and shoes, URBAN OUTFITTERS satchel.

Stay tuned for the event photos :D.

                                                                          xoxo!!

My return to the Louvre

Dear Diary,

I returned to the Louvre on a full stomach, and some comfy shoes. I had to prepare myself for the excessive walking through the many areas of the museum.

                                                            The Louvre from the inside.

It was mind boggling seeing all those people gathered around the Mona Lisa, and I also could not believe how small the painting was.
A close up of the 30 x 21 inch painting by Leonardo da Vinci. It took a lot of shoving to get this shot.
Winged Victory of Samothrace. One of the most famous sculptures in the world.

So the vest has an 80s quality that I find very bad ass!! I saw it in my best bud’s luggage when he came to visit me last summer, and there was no way in heck I was going to let him take it back (thanks Nicky! :D)

FRENCHI long sleeve, GUESS denim vest, VINTAGE shorts and belt, JEFFREY CAMPBELL flats, BRANDY MELVILLE long cross necklace, (the short necklace is from a street vendor in Ghana).

Hope you guys love the photos, stay tuned for my next posting to see more of my parisian adventures :D.

                                                                            xoxo!!

Musee du Louvre

Dear Diary,

On day 2 of my Paris trip, I went to the Louvre Museum… on an empty stomach! That was certainly one of the worse decisions I could ever make. I was unable to peruse the galleries on the inside, so I decided to take some quick shots outside, and rush to grab a bite.

H&M peplum top, SEVEN jeans, BOUTIQUE 9 pumps, HOUSE OF HARLOW sunglasses.

Paris and Sugarlips Apparel

Dear Diary,

Sugarlips is a fashion brand from Los Angeles, CA. They team up with bloggers, and they were kind enough to ask me to join! I wore this floral number by the brand on my visit to the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

I love the peter pan collar as well as the A-line cut of the dress.

This dress is no longer available on the website, but you can still find similar styles HERE

SUGARLIPS dress, HOUSE OF HOLLAND tights, H&M socks, FOREVER 21 shoes.

Swiss Day

Dear Diary,

Muchos muchos apologies for the delay in posts. I was making preparations for a trip abroad, and let me just tell ya traveling overseas is no joke! These are some shots I took on my 1st day in Switzerland. It is such a beautiful country, but a little chilly.

H&M sweater, OBEY t-shirt, H&M faux leather pants, FERRAGAMO bag, COMME des GARCONS sneakers.

DIY embellished clutch with Dolce&Gabbana case

Dear Diary,

My sister lost her sunglasses, so we figured it would be a cool idea to recycle her case into an embellished clutch.

                                                      Sunglass case.

                                                       Embellished beaded strip.

Use glue gun to attach embellishment strip onto the case.

                                                            Voila!

The finished product did not come out as clean as I expected,  but it still looks decent no? Can’t wait to find the perfect outfit to wear it with. Stay tuned!

                                                                xoxo!!
