Dear Diary,

NEW BAG ALERT! I am back at it again with the Myth House. This one is called the box satchel, and it’s lined! I was longing for this piece during my stay in Ghana. Unfortunately I was in too much of a rush getting things ready for my departure to make it happen. Only for me to check in my mailbox a few weeks back and it was just sitting there staring at me right in the face *scream* I was more than grateful to the Myth squad for my new summer accessory. THE NOT SO BASIC BUTTON DOWN

Dear Diary,

We all have that closet staple which works on almost every ocassion. The button down can be transitioned from corporate wear paired with your suit to a casual look at the park worn with shorts and flats. In my case, I got tired of wearing it the conventional way. I purchased this Margiela button down about 3 years and decided to give it an asymmetric tweak by losing a sleeve and paired it with some white accessories. White is also the perfect color to wear in the summer  because it doesn’t absorb as much heat as dark colors do. How would you tweak your basic button down?

Dear Diary,

Back at it again in sunny cali-for-ni-a. Super corny…I know. What a bitter sweet feeling it is to be back in my second home, considering that I was gone  for over 3 months. Bitter is when you are missing  your hustle and bustle life in Ghana, and let’s not forget the unbearable jet lag  you encounter post-travel…EEK! Sweet is having access to brunch at any hour of the day, getting to spend time with your cray cray cousins, and catching up with your friends. I promise it isn’t what I do all day. This is just to list a few. LOL!

Now that we have gotten that out of the way, let’s talk about my look. I have been obsessing over this gold envelope purse by Myth House for months! It happens to be one of the best pieces I brought back from Ghana with me.  I can’t wait to get my hand on other styles. Until then, I will be showing you two looks rocking my  caged baby  along with the striped crop top in two ways.

Clover Canyon had a sample sale a month ago that I was dying to attend. Unfortunately I was unable to go because of my 9 to 5, but my awesome babe Faith surprised me with this gorgeous floral print short sleeve from the sale.  Don’t I have awesome friends? Fashion for Breakfast is back, and this time’s guest of honor was none other than the beautiful and talented lady behind KDIA Jewelry, Kristen Noel Crawley. It was very inspiring listening to her speak about coming from a small town in Chicago to having her own brand of fine jewelry.
